Comic books return to grocery stores!  

On Saturday, December 7 from 10:00am - 3:00pm comic book creator Jay Piscopo will be doing free superhero sketches at the Hannaford Supermarket in Millcreek Shopping Center in South Portland.  

Jay is the author and illustrator of The Undersea Adventures of Capt'n Eli graphic novel series and appeared last Saturday at the Forest Ave. Hannaford in Portland.

(November 27, 2013 - Portland, Maine) Hot on the heels of Nemo Publishing's startling announcement that graphic novels are back in grocery stores, they have launched a new holiday tour.  Creator Jay Piscopo will be doing signings, sketches and more at Hannaford grocery stores, libraries and schools from now until January 2014. About the Creator:

Maine native Jay Piscopo is the author and illustrator of “The Undersea Adventures of Capt’n Eli” graphic novel series. He is also the creator of “Sea Ghost #1: The Sea Ghost in the Machine” and “Commander X All Star Special” one-shot comic books, which he wrote and illustrated in his unique signature style, combining 2D characters with 3D backgrounds. He is a featured contributor in the Reading With Pictures anthology and a regular illustrator for Moonstone Books. Past projects include working as an art director at Tom Snyder Productions where he produced educational CD-ROMs, including the award-winning “Fizz and Martina’s Math Adventures,” and animated the ABC Saturday Morning show “Squigglevision.”
