Kirby-Vision is a showcase for creative work inspired by the art and concepts of Jack Kirby curated by Jason Garrattley. This image of Doc Savage by Jay Piscopo was posted on the site today. One of Jay's favorite Jack Kirby creations was his work on The Avenger in the 1970s. Jay has always wondered how he would interpret another great pulp creation – Doc Savage.
Portland based writer/artist Jay Piscopo poses the question, “What if Jack Kirby had drawn Doc Savage?”. Jay is the creator of the all-ages graphic novel series, The Undersea Adventures of Capt’n Eli. He also presents comics workshops for children, teaching drawing and storytelling techniques in schools and libraries. Find out more here. ~ Jason Garrattley, Kirby-Vision
