March 7: Casablanca Comics Releases Capt'n Eli and Sea Ghost

On Saturday, March 7th, Jay Piscopo’s new graphic novel The Undersea Adventures of Capt’n Eli – Volume 3 and companion Sea Ghost action figure will be released at Casablanca Comics, 151 Middle Street in Portland.

Jay will be doing free super hero sketches and signing books from 11:00am to 2:00pm.

Casablanca will also have an exclusive in-store only live feed of panel programming from comic publishers broadcast directly to their store as a special in-store Comic Convention starting at Noon.

The long awaited Volume 3 in the Capt’n Eli saga explodes when Eli and crew find themselves trapped in a global war between the surface world and the undersea Aquarian Empire.  Lord Hydro’s giant war robots threaten destruction to all the major cities on the planet unless Capt’n Eli is caught and tried as a renegade for the kidnapping of Princess Coral.

The aquatic hero everyone loves comes to life! Sea Ghost was first seen in “The Undersea Adventures of Capt'n Eli” and quickly became a fan favorite, appearing in his own comic book.  Now he’s available as an 8” action figure.  Sea Ghost has been named "one of the coolest" superheroes of the seven seas by Robot 6

4 out of 5 Stars
"This is a fast paced adventure that goes from the sea bottom to the planet surface to outer space. The main thing about this comic is that it is just plain fun to read."

Title: The Undersea Adventures of Capt'n Eli Vol. 3
Publisher: Nemo Publishing, LLC
Creator/Writer/Artist: Jay Piscopo
Price: $ 9.99 US
Rating: 4 out of 5 stars

Gorgeous illustrations of sea vessels and one huge robot make this a visual delight to behold. The robot is menacing.

Japan's special defence force is colorful team that uses energy to attack. The Photon Knights are like the Power Rangers. The illustrations are dynamic. Together they form Quasar Ace.

Torpedoman looks like a cool hero. He looks a lot like the Rocketeer. Also the Sea Ghost is illustrated in a simple designed suit that looks great. There are lots of great characters but they need to be explored more.

Capt'n Eli is not used at all at the start of this comic. He is the star and should have been used some.

Lord Hydro is the villain here and he has an army to do his bidding. It is a most impressive army.

The underwater sea creatures are wonderfully illustrated and have a realistic look. The technology has a futuristic appearance but also a underwater design to most of it.

Captain Eli gets some extra gear that amps up his combat abilities. Than that is amped up even more.

Ok super-heroes just keep coming out of the woodworks. There is no way you can keep track of them all. Even two Commander X's and Nemo.

This is a fast paced adventure that goes from the sea bottom to the planet surface to outer space. The main thing about this comic is that it is just plain fun to read.

The backup story is filled with tons of super-heroes as well. They battle a menace of the Galaxy Beast. Nice old style art.

Included in this comic are some gorgeously drawn pin-ups.
