Commander X Western Knight
Review by Boyce McClain
From out of the Golden Age comes Commander X, Western Knight, a limited edition action figure fashioned after the mysterious man from the future in the pages of The Undersea Adventures Of Capt'n Eli.
The fully-articulated action figure is reminiscent of the old Mego figures, but of a higher quality. Articulation points are cleverly hidden in arm, leg and torso joints and allow the figure to pose in many different action stances without the aid of a stand.
Paint application is first-rate, especially on the mustached face, mask, gloved hands and hair.
The figure comes dressed in real cloth blue jeans, a white shirt with oversize color and roiled up sleeves, a red bandana/handkerchief and simulated leather boots, a black belt with a yellow X on a red background buckle and gun holster.
Commander X also wears a white cowboy hat with a similar X adornment as the belt and carries a six-shooter that slips easily into the holster and can be grasped by the either of the Commander's hands.
Stitching on the clothing is tight and secure, paint and plastic coloring is smooth with no sloppy edges and the cloths and accessories fit easily on the character without any binding.
The figure comes in a bubble pack with an illustration of the Commander on the front.
